An International Conference 2018, on the theme ‘Banking: Stepping into the next decade’ was organized by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) on 25th September 2018 in Mumbai to commemorate its 90 years of dedicated service to the banking industry with eminent guests and panellists. The Conference aimed to bring together regulators, policy makers, industry experts, eminent speakers and intellectuals of the banking industry; across countries and continents, on a single platform, so as to learn from their perspectives and vast experiences in a thought provoking and enriching environment.

Banking in the next era will emphasise on innovative technologies to better facilitate inclusive and convenience banking through new types of bank models, non-traditional analysis to make banking more affordable and Fintech capabilities to make banking customer centric etc. Banking in the future will be collaborative, exciting and will raise the bar by setting new standards. The aim of the conference was to touch upon the new and possible models largely driven by technology, involving Cognitive Technology & Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain Technology, Robotics Process Automation, FinTech and Cyber Security.
